Where is the conference located?
The KAUST Research Conference: Synergistic Approaches in Solar Energy Conversion will take place at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), in the Auditorium between Building 4 and 5.
How can I get the detail information about the conference program?
KAUST is located in Thuwal, which is one hour north of Jeddah. Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) is accessible from many main international flight hubs, including Frankfurt, London, New York and Washington D.C.

Is there any business center around the conference venue?
Yes, KAUST Library is open 24 hours and offers workstations and a quiet space for work and study. Wi-Fi is also accessible everywhere in the KAUST campus.
What should I wear at KAUST?
February at KAUST will be warm and likely pleasantly breezy. Smart casual attire is required at the conference. Women do not have to wear an abaya but should be dressed in conservative clothing (neck, arms and legs covered with loosely fitted clothing).
I would like to attend the conference. How do I register?
Due to Saudi visa requirements, we can accept out-of-Kindgom attendees only in highly exceptional cases. In-Kingdom attendees are highly encouraged to register. However, they will have to cover their own costs and travel arrangements.
How much is the attendance fee?
You can apply to attend the KAUST Research Conference: Synergistic Approaches in Solar Energy Conversion online by filling in the form in the "Registration" section. The deadline for non-KAUST applications is January 31, 2018.
Overseas visitors may need to allow time ahead of this deadline for visa processing.
Please note: due to limited space, the application to attend for non-KAUST attendees have been closed. Thank you for your interest!
There is no attendance fee, but conference delegates (excluding invited speakers and guests) are expected to cover the costs of their own travel and accommodation.
How can I participate in the poster session?
All poster contributors are requested to register for the conference through the "Registration" section on this web page.
What is the guideline for the poster session?
Please also send the title of your poster, a list of authors, and an abstract (max. 200 words) by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you have the poster ready, you may send the poster (in PDF format) instead.
The deadline for poster submission is Sunday, February 11, 2018.
- Poster should be in portrait layout and A0 size (841mm x 1189mm or 33.11" x 46.81").
Important dates for the poster session.
- Authors are expected to be by their posters during the poster session to answer questions from judges and attendees.
- Participants are responsible for removing and collecting their poster after the conference. Unclaimed poster will be discarded.
Sunday, February 11: The deadline for poster submission.
Monday, February 26:
4:00 - 6:00 PM: Poster setup at the University Library.
7:00 - 9:00 PM: Poster session and judges viewing.
Tuesday, February 27: Poster winner announcement.
