Enabling Photovoltaic Innovation in Saudi Arabia: A Strategy Development Workshop will be held on  March 1 – 2, 2023, adjacent to the KAUST Research Open Week.

This event focuses on the techno-economic ecosystem in the Kingdom for solar energy technologies and will bring together key stakeholders and decision-makers from government, industry, and academia to develop an effective strategy to grow the Kingdom’s solar industry, covering device and module manufacturing, supply chain security, reliability of photovoltaics in harsh climates, policies, education, and innovation. As such, this workshop aims to find innovative solutions to localizing production and will identify new collaborative opportunities to accelerate the Kingdom’s role as a key renewable-energy producer. 

The technical program will commence on March 1, 2023, from 12 PM – 5 PM. On March 2, 2023, the program will be held from 9 AM – 1 PM.

The workshop comprises keynote speeches, a panel discussion, and parallel breakout sessions to identify key solutions to major themes.

This event is organized by KAUST Solar Center (KSC) with financial support from KAUST and in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy.
