ENOWA (NEOM) is at the forefront of renewable energy innovation, embarking on a monumental solar and wind energy installation in a desert landscape at NEOM. Our mission is to harness the untapped potential of arid regions, transforming them into powerhouses of clean, sustainable energy to exclusively power the future cognitive city of NEOM. 

This presentation will provide an overview of our plans for solar energy installation across NEOM and a peek into the cutting-edge technologies and strategies designed to overcome the unique challenges of desert environments, including the use of Building Integrated PV (“BIPV”) distributed close to, and aligned with, customer loads. We will also explore the broader picture of how we deal with the uncertainty of the intermittent generation, the associated challenges of the grid that will form the backbone of this energy system and the important role of the customer in achieving the optimality.
