Towards highly efficient perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells

In order to increase the electricity generation while minimizing costs, a key strategy in solar cell technology involves increasing the efficiency of existing technologies per unit area. This objective is central to the development of tandem solar cells, which leverage diverse photoactive materials with varying bandgaps to capture a broader spectrum of solar energy. To realize efficient and durable perovskite-based multi-junction solar cells, it is crucial to comprehend and mitigate losses in these devices. I will outline our efforts to overcome these challenges and achieve highly efficient perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells.
