Perovskite-silicon tandem solar cells - Swift Solar

Perovskite-silicon tandem solar cells have now far surpassed the efficiency of incumbent single-junction silicon solar cells. Now the crucial steps toward real-world deployment are to develop high-throughput manufacturing methods to deposit the perovskite and other layers and design and demonstrate their long-term stability. I will highlight progress that Swift Solar has made in these directions: toward high-speed and uniform perovskite deposition with a wide process window to ensure high yield, and toward making cells that remain stable under prolonged operation under a variety of stressors including combined heat + light aging.
