Lorenzo Mardegan

PhD Student, University of Valencia

Biography

Lorenzo earned his master's degree in Photochemistry and Molecular Materials from the University of Bologna (Italy) in 2017. Subsequently, in 2019, he pursued his PhD with the MOED group under the supervision of Prof. Henk Bolink at the University of Valencia (Spain). His research primarily focused on the fabrication and characterization of alternative organic-based light-emitting devices, specifically light-emitting electrochemical cells (LECs). During this period, he also explored research in solar cells, particularly in thermal evaporation and hybrid deposition techniques. Lorenzo has very recently joined the KPV-lab under the guidance of Prof. Stefaan de Wolf at KAUST where he will be working as a doctoral fellow.
