​Luca Lucera joined Merck in 2016 as a Research Scientist, working in the R&D PV-Physics Development group at the Chilworth Technical Centre (UK). He focused mostly on formulations development for OPV and supporting both the process development team in Germany and customers. He moved to Merck Headquarters in Darmstadt, Germany in 2017 and is now working as a Team Leader in the PV-Physics group. Prior to joining Merck, Luca graduated from Politecnico di Milano, Italy with a B.Sc and M.Sc. in Physics Engineering and earned a second M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering at University of Connecticut, USA in 2012. He then moved to FAU University, Erlangen (Germany) where he was awarded his PhD in Material Science and Engineering in 2016.
