Dr. Tom White

Biography

​Dr. Tom White is a Future Engineering Research Leader Fellow in the Research School of Engineering at the Australian National University. He has a BSc and PhD in Physics from the University of Sydney, and has published more than 80 Journal Papers in the fields of photovoltaics, nanomaterials and photonics which have received over 6000 citations.  Dr White's primary research focus for the last 3 years has been the development of high efficiency perovskite solar cells and perovskite-silicon tandems, resulting in a number of high-impact results, including the recent demonstration of a record 26.4% efficient tandem device. His research expertise spans fundamental material studies, advanced characterization and simulation methods, and device engineering.
