The "KAUST Research Conference: Emerging concepts in solar energy conversion – from computation to implementation" to be held in the Auditorium between the Al-Jazri and Al-Kindi buildings (Level 0, between Bldgs. 4 and 5) will include contributions addressing recent developments in solar energy conversion that will stimulate new cross-disciplinary research and collaborations, specifically focusing on:

  • High-efficiency silicon-perovskite tandem solar cells
  • High-efficiency organic photovoltaics
  • Photocatalytic carbon dioxide reduction and water splitting

The conference will bring together experts from academia and industry from the field of solar energy conversion to discuss new developments, concepts, and hot topics in the area of photovoltaics and photocatalysis.

The technical program will be held on Monday, February 10th and Tuesday, February 11th. The conference will also provide an opportunity for PhD students and postdocs to present their work in a poster presentation on the evening of Monday February 10th in the University Library.

Conference Chairs: Professors Frederic Laquai and Udo Schwingenschlögl

The event is organized by KAUST Solar Center (KSC) with financial support from the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) Office of Sponsored Research (OSR).
