Professor, Soochow University & Senior Technology Expert, LONGi

Biography

Dr. Liu Jiang is currently a professor at the School of Energy, Soochow University, and is also a part-time senior Technology Expert at the Central R&D Institute of LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. He received his bachelor's degree from Hunan University in 2008 and his doctorate in Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) from Tsinghua University in 2013. From 2013 to 2018, he worked at a Green Energy Research Center, focusing on the development of large-scale CIGS photovoltaic technology. From 2018 to 2022, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the research group of Professor Stefaan de Wolf (KPV) at the Solar Energy Center at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KASUT). Thereafter, he joined LONGi to explore the potential industrialization technology of perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells and other potential next-generation photovoltaic technologies. His research combines materials, interfaces and device engineering to improve perovskite solar cells and silicon-based tandem solar cells, and explore new technologies from an industrial perspective.
