Dr. Rohit Prasanna has worked on advancing perovskite-perovskite and perovskite-silicon tandem solar cell technology for a decade. Having performed early studies of the band structure and oxidation chemistry of low band gap tin-lead perovskites, he along with his present colleagues at Swift designed the first all-perovskite tandem solar cells with matched band gaps, and the first perovskite-silicon tandem point on the NREL efficiency chart. He received his Ph.D. from Stanford University and worked as a visiting researcher at the National Renewable Energy Lab. He is presently the Head of Materials Research and Development at Swift Solar, where he has worked since 2019.
