Abstract:
This presentation will give an overview of scientific publishing. As well as providing an introduction to the Royal Society of Chemistry we will cover: how to write your paper; submission checklist, peer-review, ethics and open access – along with some information about careers in publishing. There will be time for Q&A throughout the workshop.
Bio:
Lynn Murphy is a Deputy Editor for 4 journals that cover materials science at the Royal Society of Chemistry, Journal of Materials Chemistry A, B & C, and Materials Horizons. She has worked at the Royal Society of Chemistry for 5 years, previously holding an editorial role for PCCP, Nanoscale and Nanoscale Horizons. Lynn joined the RSC in 2015 after an undergraduate degree in Chemistry at the University of Dublin, Trinity College, Ireland.
