Ted Sargent holds the Canada Research Chair in Nanotechnology at the University of Toronto. He earned the B.Sc. (Engineering Physics) from Queen's in 1995 and the PhD from University of Toronto in 1998. He is Fellow of the AAAS "...for distinguished contributions to the development of solar cells and light sensors based on solution-processed semiconductors," is Fellow of the IEEE "... for contributions to colloidal quantum dot optoelectronic devices.” He is founder and CTO of InVisage Technologies (Menlo Park) and is a co-founder of Xagenic (Toronto). He is Vice-Dean for Research in the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering at UofT.
