The European Academy of Sciences established the Blaise Pascal Medal in 2003 with medals limited to up to six medals in any one year.

Blaise Pascal Medals are awarded by the EurASC to excellent scientists contributing to science and technology and the promotion of excellence in research and education. In 2020, five medals were given in the fields of Materials Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics.
