01 December, 2021
KAUST Solar Center (KSC) is excited to share our science and technology with you within the framework of the KAUST Research Open Week.
Wednesday December 1, 2021 is energy day and we invite the KAUST community to explore the power of the sun in our ‘Science on the Spine’ exhibits (10am – 12pm). Try to race against the sun to win prizes.
KSC researchers will present scientific talks as below:
Presenter: Afnan AlBatati
Title: Nanostructured Electrodes for Efficient Energy Harvesting and Green Hydrogen Production
Presenter: Luis Lanzetta
Title: Degradation mechanism of hybrid tin perovskite solar cells: reasons for their instability and solutions
towards stable photovoltaics
Come to see our researchers’ posters in the library throughout the day and chat to them about their work and its impact or attend our researchers’ talks in the different ‘Scientific Talks’ sessions at 10 am in the level 0 auditoria.
To view our state-of-the-art facilities and speak to our members about research capabilities, sign up for a lab tour here (2-4pm).
Throughout the week (10am – 12pm) in the ‘Start-up Space’ (building 20), Mirai Solar, a start-up founded by KSC members and supported by KAUST Innovation Ventures, will showcase applied solar energy research in a demonstration of their innovative agriphotovoltaic technology for greenhouses.
You can also check out our faculty’s contributions to the ‘Scientific Domos’ in building 19 throughout the week (10am – 12pm).
We hope you enjoy exploring the KAUST’s research efforts toward Sustainability: Science for the Future and we very much look forward to welcoming you to KSC.
