Biography

Joel obtained his PhD in the Physics Department at Imperial College London in 2021 under the supervision of Professor Ji-Seon Kim. Following this he continued his research in the same group as a Research Associate. In his roles at Imperial College Joel focused on understanding the structure-function relationship of organic semiconductors used in photovoltaic applications, particularly focusing on photostability. Joel joined the Heeney Group at KAUST in 2024 and will be continuing his research on organic semiconductors and applying them in a range of device applications such as organic electrochemical transistors.
