Shanshan Zhang, Ph.D.

Postdoctoral Fellows

Postdoctoral Fellow in De Wolf Group

Biography

Dr. Shanshan Zhang studied and completed her Ph.D. from 10/2015-to 07/2019 at the University of Queensland in Australia. She mainly worked on investigating the Working Principles, Materials, and Interfaces in inverted Perovskite Solar Cells. During her PhD, she also worked with Dr. Martin Stolterfoht on quantifying the energy loss in Perovskite solar cells in Professor Dieter Neher’s group at Universität Potsdam. Now her work is to design ‘lossless’ and stable contacts and explore how to solve the adhesion and reliability issues associated with such contacts, to be implemented in high-efficiency solar cells, with the key application being monolithic perovskite/c-Si tandem solar cells.

Research Interests

Thin-film semiconductors, Photovoltaic solar cells, energy loss analysis, charge carrier recombination.
